Privacy Policy — Noxuma Sleep

Noxuma Sleep (iOS bundle ID hecz.com.sleepBetter, Android package hecz.com.sleep_better) is published by Happy Electronics s.r.o. (Company ID 27513807). This policy applies only to Noxuma Sleep and differs from the general website policy and from other Happy Electronics apps.

In short: your nights stay on your phone. The app has no account and no ads. To keep it reliable, it sends anonymous technical diagnostics that never contain audio or sleep data.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following only on your phone, and never uploads it:

  • per-minute acoustic features and markers of probable snoring and movement,
  • sleep sessions, hypnograms and morning summaries,
  • motion data from an optional SleepPhaser lamp,
  • household profiles you create (for example a child’s name) and your settings (alarms, smart window, sensitivity),
  • optional short sound clips around snoring and noise — only if you turn on “Save short sound clips”; up to 20 per night, deleted automatically after 7 days unless you keep them.

The microphone is analysed on the device in one-minute windows. Apart from the optional clips above, raw audio is not stored and is never sent anywhere. You can delete any night, or all local data, in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.

What the app sends

1. Crash and error reports (automatic). When the app crashes, freezes or hits an error, it sends a technical report: the error and stack trace, device model, operating system and app version, and technical details of the moment (for example why the system stopped a night, battery and storage state, recent app events). Reports never include audio, sleep data or anything you typed. They are processed by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) (we are moving them to our own server run by Happy Electronics) and kept for 90 days.

2. Launch ping (automatic). Each launch sends one small message to our server telemetry.happy-electronics.eu: a random installation ID created on your phone (not linked to you, a new one on reinstall), platform, app version, whether the previous session had an error, and how many nights were started. Our server does not store your IP address. We use it to count active installations and to measure reliability. Kept for 12 months.

3. Only when you choose to:

  • Send a report (Settings → Help) sends your message and, if you fill them in, your name and e-mail, so we can answer you.
  • Ask AI prepares a text summary of a night and hands it to the app you pick in the share sheet. We do not receive it. What happens next is governed by that app’s policy.
  • Links (sleep guide sources, SleepPhaser lamp shop) open in your browser.

We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising, and do not track you across apps or websites. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no advertising identifiers).

Permissions

  • Microphone: overnight snore and movement detection, processed on the device.
  • Bluetooth: optional, only to pair and talk to a SleepPhaser bedside lamp.
  • Notifications: to ring the alarm and to show that a night is being measured.
  • Background running / battery optimisation exemption (Android): so the system does not stop a night while it is being measured.

Your rights

Diagnostic data is not linked to your identity, so we cannot find “your” data by name. If you want a report you sent us deleted, or have any question about privacy, write to info@happy-electronics.eu. Under the GDPR you may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
